Acceptable Use
Use Evergreen to improve public knowledge, without harming people, systems, or the integrity of the encyclopedia. This policy is part of the Terms of Service.
Use evidence responsibly
Submit evidence only when it is lawfully public, yours to share, or shared with clear permission. Respect copyright, privacy, confidentiality, and other people's rights. Identify sources honestly and do not disguise promotional material as independent evidence.
Do not use Evergreen to
- Break the law or help someone else do so.
- Submit private, confidential, stolen, or unlawfully obtained information.
- Infringe intellectual property or other people's rights.
- Knowingly spread false information, impersonate others, manipulate reviews, or conceal a material conflict of interest.
- Threaten, harass, dox, discriminate against, or exploit anyone.
- Upload malware, probe for vulnerabilities, bypass access controls, disrupt the service, or misuse another person's access.
- Automate requests or place loads on Evergreen that interfere with normal use, unless Evergreen has given permission.
Enforcement and reporting
Evergreen may review, reject, limit, or remove content or access when reasonably necessary to enforce this policy or protect people and the service. Serious or repeated violations may lead to access restrictions. We may report suspected illegal conduct when appropriate or legally required.
Report abuse or ask whether a planned use is allowed at legal@openevergreen.com. Include enough detail for us to review the issue, but do not email sensitive material unless we ask for it.
